ABOUT NICOLE

Nicole’s interest in interior environments began early.  As a child she was drawn to rich velvets, polished veneers and gilded carvings.  Her upbringing in the multicultural and nature-rich landscapes of California fueled her love for visual diversity.  She honed her artistic eye through a variety of creative pursuits, developing a particularly strong sense for color, material and form.  Notably, Nicole was drawn to detailed and tactile needle arts; surely the root of her sophisticated use of textiles today.

Nicole’s professional life is firmly rooted in the practicalities of the built world.  She studied business and economics at California State Northridge, gaining knowledge that today allows her to easily navigate budgeting and specifications.  Ten years managing both multi-family and hospitality properties gave Nicole hands-on practical experience in project management and her first glimpse into the business of interior design.  Nicole closely managed both new-build and extensive renovation projects, working along-side builders and architects.  Nicole was hooked.

Nicole completed her formal interiors education at the Art Institute of Colorado, a rigorous program that challenged her to exceed creative and technical limits.  Here she gained a deep respect and knowledge of the history of interiors, conceptual continuity, and the ever-vital practical aspects of design.

During and upon completion of her interiors courses, Nicole designed high-end residential, hospitality and specialty commercial interiors throughout Colorado with renowned architect, Brandt Vanderbosch, at Vertical Arts Architecture.  After just two years, Nicole gained the title of Lead Interior Designer and was named ASID Colorado’s Rising Star of the Year.

A family move to the Wood River Valley began Nicole’s latest and most exciting chapter.  In 2015, she established Nicole Snyder Interiors, focusing on residential, commercial and hospitality projects with an emphasis on high concept spaces and close attention to client needs.

Today, Nicole immerses each client in her own unique world view, dazzling them with her whole-hearted enthusiasm for all things design, function and decor.  She revels in the conceptual development of each project, pulling inspiration from areas as diverse as fashion, nature, architecture and art.  Nicole has developed projects in a multitude of styles including mountain chic, Mid-Century, traditional French and European contemporary.  Nicole does not subscribe to any one style or period and prefers to hear from her clients first and foremost.
